SARANAC LAKE – The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Play ADK are co-hosting an End of Summer Celebration and Fundraiser Thursday, August 25 from 4-8 p.m. at Ampersand Bay Resort.

With family-friendly games and activities, live music, food and drink, the two organizations will celebrate the importance of community partnerships, community and economic development, and the progress of Play ADK, the first children’s museum of the Adirondacks.

“As non-profit organizations, the support of our community and business members is important to our success,” said Rachel Karp, executive director of the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber is thrilled to support and promote the continued economic development of our community and the addition of a children’s museum will be exciting not only for the Tri-Lakes region, but for the entire Adirondacks.”

The evening will feature live music by Jae Dani, lawn games including a corn hole and giant Jenga, a co-op sandcastle building challenge, ADK ArtRise slime making and a campfire with s’mores. The evening will feature guest speaker, Mayor of the Village of Saranac Lake, Jimmy. Williams.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce for this event and hope to see great community turnout” said Rob Carr, executive director of Play ADK. “Community engagement is essential to the success of our project and I can’t think of a nicer way to lend my support.”

“Summer is beautiful and busy and we hope this event brings people together to enjoy music, games, food and drink while supporting our organizations,” said Adrienne Oliveras, Membership and Engagement Coordinator for the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. “We continue to work hard to promote Saranac Lake as a place to live, work and play for generations to come.”
